rodibio has launched a new range of soils for freshwater aquarium. These simple and powerful products enable fast and balanced starting your aquarium.

A simple and effective range

Prodibio has selected AquaGrowth Soil and AquaShrimp Powder in Japan among numerous mineral compositions. Their balanced formula will allow healthy plant growth and strong root development.

AquaGrowth Soil and AquaShrimp Powder are ready to use and it is not necessary to rinse them. A high temperature treatment (around 1200°C/2192°F) gives AquaGrowth Soil and AquaShrimp Powder their physical properties and allows them to be free of parasitic species which could contaminate the aquarium. Moreover, chemical analyzes carried out in order to reveal radioactive elements are negatives (see products’s pages).

AquaGrowth Soil, favors and stimulates growth of aquatic plants

AquaGrowth Soil is the basis of your aquarium, it is designed to facilitate bacteria fixation and optimize water quality. It also improves roots development and thus plants growth.
Each granule of AquaGrowth Soil, with a size of 1 to 3 mm, is compact enough not to turn into powder, while allowing plants to grow their roots properly. Moreover, AquaGrowth Soil is porous enough to allow nitrifying bacteria to properly colonize the substrate and improve water quality.

    Plants are growing well. I put the soil in mesh bags to prevent it from mixing with top sand layer and coming through. Plant roots have gone through the mesh bags and are thriving. Next time I will put ADA powersand/ JBL. aquabassis or something similar underneath – I’ve seen much better results this way irrespective of the aquasoil used.
