When to Use
Axolotl health issues often show a wide range of symptoms. If your axolotl displays excessive mucus production, skin blisters, sores or lesions, loss of color, patchy or peeling skin, or chalky patches, it may be suffering from a parasitic infection. These signs can also stem from poor water quality, so always begin by testing your water with the Aquarium Lab Multi-Test Kit.

How to Treat
AxoCure is designed for use in a separate treatment bath—do not dose directly into the main aquarium. Follow these steps for safe and effective treatment:

1. Test your water to rule out poor conditions as the source of symptoms.

2. Prepare a quarantine container—ensure it’s clean, has airflow, and is the right size for your axolotl.

3. Fill with clean aquarium water and measure the volume accurately.

4. Dose the bath with AxoCure according to the instructions and mix well.

5. Transfer your axolotl into the bath using a fine net or scoop, minimizing the transfer of aquarium water.

6. Leave in the bath for up to 8 hours in a cool, dark place with the lid secured.

7. Perform a water change in the main aquarium while the treatment is ongoing.

8. Check on your axolotl hourly for signs of stress.

9. After treatment, return the axolotl to the aquarium using a net or scoop, avoiding bath water transfer.

10. If symptoms persist after two weeks, repeat treatment for two consecutive days only.
