JBL Proscape Volcano Mineral Base provides the ideal basis for a beautiful natural aquarium. The porous volcanic rock ensures water circulation in the soil and contributes to the supply of organic plant nutrients to the plant roots. It provides a stable base for additional structures made of stone and/or wooden roots, which would slide further down through the soil. In addition, the perforated structure creates a large surface area that provides space for many beneficial microorganisms to establish themselves.

By colonising nitrifying bacteria, for example, the substrate actively contributes to the rapid establishment of a biological balance in the aquarium. Furthermore, the special rock structure offers good penetration possibilities for nutrients and provides many minerals so that plants can root and grow very well in it. JBL Proscape Volcano Mineral Base is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium and trace elements such as iron, boron or manganese and therefore provides plants with numerous necessary growth substances in a natural way.
