Ista Premium Soil is a scientifically formulated substrate that is crafted from high-quality natural soil which has been sintered into a porous, granular structure, providing excellent filtration capabilities. Designed to promote a healthy aquatic environment, the substrate not only supports mechanical and biological filtration but also enhances overall water clarity and stability over time.Through the sintering process with organic acids, this premium soil is made especially suitable for a wide range of freshwater setups, including planted aquariums, shrimp tanks, and freshwater fish habitats. Wonderful product! I added some root tabs when planting and the combo of this soil with root tabs delivers massive plants!!! Fish such as loaches and pleco`s love the soil as it is soft on their sensitive mouths. Amazing product and will highly recommend it.

a VERY underrated soil, I don’t know why more aquascapers don’t use it. I love it. I just put some crush lava rock base, root tabs & this soil… and I grow the most demanding competition level plants in it. Very good product. My GH & KH readings stay in optimal ranges as well, which indicates very good buffering capacity as well. The soil is also not extremely nutrient dense, which relies a bit more on you for dosing but light on maintenance, which is great if you cannot change 50% water every week.

This soil is perfect for my tank. It is suitable for all the shrimp , plants and tetras currently in my tank and I think it will make a big difference in the quality of our tank overall
