Ceramic Pleco Cave is ideal for longfin and shortfin algae eaters. Plecos need hiding spots throughout the tank where they can stay during the day because they’re nocturnal. Hiding spots can be created using all sorts of aquarium decorations like caves, tunnels, dark pipes, wood, and artificial plants. These Ceramic pleco caves and Up Aqua Pleco Caves have proven to be very effective as well.

Once the male Pleco has chosen a “cave” to breed in, it will meticulously clean the sides and attempt to attract the female into the cave. If the female is enticed in by the male, she will deposit eggs on the side of the cave, and the male will then set about guarding the eggs until they hatch.
