Süsswassertang / Subwassertang
Süsswassertang or also refered to as subwassertang. It is a type of aquarium plant. It was long considered to be a liverwort, which it strongly resembles, but in 2009, a molecular phylogenetic study determined that it is, in fact, an fern gametophyte.
*One portion is enough to cover 10cm x 10cm thinly spread. It comes in a cup and is more or less the size of a golf-ball.
** Please note that it not always one solid piece of “moss” and can sometimes be split into many pieces.
McMerwe Review: This is definitely our favorite “mosses” for a shrimp tank. It works best if tied over a piece of rock/wood with ADA – Moss Cotton. It can also just be left to float around in tank. It will eventually find a place an grow in size. Its ideal for shrimp as it creates a lot of crevasses for shrimp to hide. It also makes good hiding space for smaller fish. (Rating 5/5)

Fantastic low maintenance plant. It looks beautiful and provides a location for fry to hide.

I love this plant…received a good size portion that is already growing and expanding in my tanks! I received a very healthy specimen and will, certainly, be back for more!

Gorgeous. I received more than expected. About a Golf Ball size before spreading out.

Great sized portion and so glad to have found somewhere to purchase it as it can be hard to come by where I live

Awesome quality. Love that it’s spreadable. Bright colors and no dead/dryed out pieces.

Excellent quality. About the size of a golf ball. Will slightly loosen up an expanded a bit if you do not tie it down.
