Strawberry Rasbora (Boraras naevus)
Strawberry Rasbora (Boraras naevus) are one of the smallest nano fish. Coming in at just under 2cm as an adult. As they grow older the colour starts developing a bright orange. They are very peaceful. Also, they will add some colour to your tank without looking unnatural. You can feed them Hikari Fancy Guppy or Dennerle Complete Gourmet Menu.

A wonderful dash of colour in my nano and shrimp tanks!

I am absolutely thrilled with these. They are a perfect nano fish for a planted scape. They are a little shy and will often hide when you come up the the glass, or if there are very active fish in the tank with them. When they are comfortable though they take up the full water column. They have the most incredible color and the way the males decide on territories in your tank is so cool (I have them in a 80l). They are also shrimp safe. although because of their small mouths getting a struggle with even micro-bites. They love micro worms though as they’re a really good size for them. All round my favorite fish in the hobby.
(on a side note. I live in KZN and the way that these guys were packed up and shipped to me was fantastic. They arrived promptly, no doa’s. Fish are very healthy and a good size. Will definitely be ordering again from McMerwe)
