Description

Stoffels Anubias barteri nana Petite (Medium Tech)

The Stoffels Anubias barteri nana Petite is a highly popular, low-maintenance aquatic plant that features small, dark green leaves and compact growth. Known for its hardiness, this plant is perfect for both beginner and advanced aquarists. The in-vitro version ensures you receive a healthy, pest-free plant, ideal for immediate introduction into your aquarium.

Key Features:

  • Compact Size: The ‘Petite’ variant is smaller than the standard Anubias barteri, making it perfect for nano aquariums or as an accent plant in foreground or midground areas.
  • Hardy Plant: Anubias barteri ‘Petite’ is highly tolerant of a wide range of water conditions and thrives in low to moderate lighting environments.
  • In-Vitro Cultivation: Grown in sterile, nutrient-rich conditions, this in-vitro plant is free from snails, algae, and pathogens, offering a clean start for your aquarium.
  • Low Maintenance: Requires minimal trimming and is slow-growing, making it an ideal choice for low-tech setups or tanks without CO2 supplementation.

Care Requirements:

  • Lighting: Tolerates low light conditions but can also thrive under moderate lighting. Avoid direct, high-intensity light to prevent algae growth on the leaves.
  • CO2: Although CO2 is not required, it can help improve growth and health if used.
  • Water Parameters: Anubias barteri ‘Petite’ is highly adaptable, thriving in a wide range of water conditions with a pH of 6.0-7.5 and temperatures between 22-28°C.
  • Placement: Best placed in the foreground or attached to rocks or driftwood. Avoid burying the rhizome in the substrate, as this can cause rot.

Planting Tips:

  • Rinse the plant thoroughly to remove the nutrient gel.
  • Anubias ‘Petite’ can be tied or glued to hardscape like driftwood, rocks, or decorative stones. It can also be placed on the substrate, but ensure the rhizome remains above it to prevent decay.
  • Due to its slow growth, it is an excellent plant for low-maintenance aquariums and aquascapes.
