The Spotted Borneo Sucker (Gastromyzon punctulatus) is a very interesting freshwater loach that is native to Malaysian Borneo.  It is known for its gray body coloration, white spots, and occasional blue highlights on its fins, its peaceful yet outgoing demeanor, and its fascinating social behavior with members of its own species. This fascinating, peaceful fish is an algae and biofilm grazer that is an excellent candidate for the mature subtropical aquarium

The Spotted Borneo Sucker is a very social species, especially as an adult, so it should be kept in groups

These guys are fantastic! I’ve bought a few over the course of the last year. And have gotten bigger, smaller and different spot/stripe variations. Amazing peaceful addition to a aquascape.

They had both varieties (spotted and striped). They are healthy and doing very well in my tank. Be sure to keep a lid on as they will try to climb out. Very sociable!

This busy little fish is an exceptional cleaner. Although predominantly on the glass, it does also clean bigger stones and rock structures. The skirt fins are also a very cool new feature in the tank.
