Rainbow Shiner (Notropsis chrosomus)
Not all Rainbow Shiner (Notropsis chrosomus) develop the colour you see on some google images. Some of them do develop, and when they do its probably the best looking fish out there. The males also tend to have better colour than the females. Please keep in mind that these fish prefer colder water.
Feeding:
We feed our Rainbow Shiner (Notropsis chrosomus) Hikari Micro Pellets, but Dennerle Complete Gourmet Menu is a great food for these guys.
*Please note: For the safety of the livestock, we only ship livestock Monday – Wednesday. Please plan accordingly. We mainly sell juvenile livestock, but adults will be sent if available. We also do not sex livestock for any client, we will send a mix if available (this is to make it fair for everybody). This is company policy. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY RECEIVING ONLY MALES OR ONLY FEMALES OR JUVENILE FISH.

All arrived healthy and energetic, with no loss of colouration due to transportation stress. Bagged in a thick edgless fish bag. My only peeve is the breeder never culled the deformed individuals with protruding jaws or short-face but left them in the breeding pool. equally dorsal fin deformality was observed. Im still thrilled to have these irregular fish. Resposible breeding or not, these guys don’t show up often.
