In the wild, shrimp often rely on fallen leaves for food, shelter, and water conditioning—and these leaves replicate that natural environment perfectly. They slowly release tannins and organic compounds known for their antibacterial and antifungal properties, helping to reduce harmful bacteria such as Vibrio and luminous bacteria that can cause disease in shrimp colonies.

As the leaves break down, they encourage the growth of biofilm, a natural grazing surface that shrimp and fry love to feed on. In addition to supporting a healthy ecosystem, the tannins gently acidify the water, slightly lowering pH levels and creating softer, more natural conditions ideal for many tropical fish and shrimp species.

Usage Instructions

• Add boiling water and soak until the leaf becomes waterlogged.
