Nature Boys – Africa Cholla Fingers
*Image only for reference. Some pieces are thicker and some are thinner.
Because Cholla is hollow it make a great hiding place for baby shrimp and adult shrimp especially while moulting and vulnerable.
Cholla will break down over a very long period of time and a bio-film will form on which the shrimp will forage.
Tannins will be released into the water which may stain the tank water slightly, but the tannins contain anti-bacterial and anti fungal properties which help protect the shrimp.
Due to its appealing look it is a great natural alternative for ceramic decoration.
DO NOT BOIL THE CHOLLA. Instead, cover it with boiling water and let it soak till it is water logged. Rinse it and add it to your tank.
*Sold individually.

Perfect hiding spot for shrimp and snails. And can be used to make cool features in small tanks

Shrimp love the cholla. I cut my 50g piece through the center to have two pieces that lie flat on the substrate – still leaving the arch for shrimp to hide.

Looks great in the tank, Corys seem to like it more than my shrimp

A fantastic natural tunnel that I have no doubt that shrimp love. For quick reference my “80g-100g piece is 12cm long and around 5,5cm across. The 100g-150g is 12cm long and also around 5,5cm across but less of a hollow tunnel. Will definitely get more.

An absolute must in all of my tanks, especially those homing shrimp, but even my ancistrus, otocinclus and whiptails love hanging out on them.

Ek het die keer well n groter n n kleiner een gevat….kleiner een is makliker on te sink en ek hou van die feit dat mens plantjies daarop kan sit…behalwe dat die shrimp daarvan hou het dit n biofilm laag op wat hulle ook van hou…

Maak mense se shrimp tenk…lyk soos n shrimp huise…Beveel aan as jy iets anders as net plante in jou tenk soek
