Dophin – Canister Filter (CF12008 – CF12508) is Dophin new line of canister filter that can house a built in heater and built in co2 diffuser. The heaters are sold separately. These are budget friendly aquarium filters.

McMerwe’s Review: Dophin did a really good job at giving us a filter at half the price of the Oase filters. It is a very good budget option to have less equipment inside of your tank. Its not close to the Oase build quality, but if you are on a budget – its still value for money. They say it can work with any heater – but this still needs to be confirmed. We still recomend do not use the diffuser that comes with these units for your co2, but rather use a Twinstar diffuser inside of you tank.

I took a lot of time researching good filters and bought the CF 12008 dophin canister filter. This is my first canister filter and could not believe the difference in water quality and clarity. The adjustable flow rate works great and the filter has a built in heater compartment which I am using and it is effective. Saved so much space inside the tank. Used in combination with the lily pipes the tank is aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for all the advice over the last month McMerwe!
