McMerwe Review: These Antopie Sponge Filters are a great new addition to the hobby. The have a compartment at the bottom for additional filter media like Seachem Matrix or Ceramic Media. This compartment has a lid to make sure if the sponge lifts up, that the livestock cant enter. It also comes with a built in air stone that is replaceable. This air stone allows for a more quite option than the traditional sponge filters. The bubble are smaller and makes much less noise. The sponge that comes with these filter are extra fine for crystal clear water. It also allows the Ceramic media at the bottom to clog less quick. They can also be used in shrimp tanks as a place to store your buffer substrate that will lower your pH. Fantastic filtration and usability all round. [Rating: 5/5]
