Aqua Design Amano or ADA Colorado Sand 2kg

 

It is the cosmetic sand with natural reddish color. It brings out the green color of aquatic plants, enables to create the natural feeling in a layout. By placing in a thin layer, it is also good for growing Wabi-kusa in submerged form.

 

Aqua Design Amano (ADA) is the premium brand in aquascaping and Nature Aquaria. The company was founded by Takashi Amano, who applied the elements of the Japanese art of gardening to planting and decorating aquaria. For Takashi Amano, clearly the focus is on creating especially attractive habitats with his Nature Aquaria and aquascapes. The products manufactured by Aqua Design Amano (ADA) are of a very high quality, they complement the overall effect such a Nature Aquarium has on its contemplators, and they complete the artistic impression of the layout.

    Looks really great in a scape. I would recommend being very intentional with the shaping of your beach / sandy area, otherwise maintenance can be quite gruelling.

    Quite red and I agree that la plata may look better in the long run.

    There is practically no visible difference between the Colorado Sand and the La Plata Sand, both make for beautiful sand beds but I did notice that the Colorado Sand loses colour over time. If you want to buy the decorative sand I suggest going with the La Plata Sand instead.
