Happy with this substrate – My plants and shrimps are thriving, definitely worth the extra cost.

Very happy with this product, I believe it is worth the slightly higher cost. My water quality remained good after the initial cycle where it does leech high amounts of amonia, that is good for helping plants to establish, but please do be patient before adding livestock. My plants are thriving

Best substrate for plants, minimal clouding if you fill water properly. Doesnt look the best as all soil does’nt, I would advise to use light coloured gravel or sand at the front of the tank unless you are doing a full carpet.

Tank cleared quickly after adding water and plants are thriving. First time using the soil in a tank but could not be happier!

I used it in my blue bolt tank and I must say the shrips and plants thrived and it was definitely worth the money. It kept water ph stable for more than 2 years.

This substrate is great, no arguing that. The granule is small, so not great for using in UG filter setups. Unless using a sponge or filter floss to assist in preventing the granules from falling through the UG plate.
My favourite way to use this substrate is mixing it with a larger granule substrate, it creates a beautiful scape. I didn’t plan it like that, but used some substrate I had left, from another bag, together with this bag, and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

This product needs no introduction. A firm favourite in the aquascaping and shrimping hobby. Its expensive but if you’re serious about this hobby then you owe it to yourself to use Amazonia. Due to the fact that it is slightly less fertile than the previous version it comes with a packet of root tabs which is a nice touch. Top class product

I really liked the dark colour of the spoil and it worked well even for carpeting plants (I used a dry start).

First time user of Amazonia soil so I can’t say much yet. Event though I did find planting stems were super easy and there is no cloudiness after filling the tank.
