Tropica Microsorum pteropus Windelov (Low Tech)
Tropica Microsorum pteropus Windelov is a patented variety of Microsorum pteropus, named after Tropica’s founder Holger Windeløv. Its finely branched leaf tips make it one of the most beautiful aquarium plants. The Microsorum variety becomes 15-20 cm tall and wide.
A hardy and easy plant for both beginners and the more experienced. Best results are obtained by planting it on a stone or tree root. If planted in the bottom the horizontal rhizome must not be covered. This plant is not eaten by herbivorous fish.

*This is a Potted Plant and NOT a Tissue Culture Plant. This plant was grown in a greenhouse and is NOT guaranteed to be snail, algae or pesticide-free. Potted plants are cheaper than Tissue Culture Plants as they are not grown in a sterile laboratory. They generally appear to be bigger than Tissue Culture plants. We recommend Tissue Culture Plant for 100% client satisfaction.

The plant itself was very healthy, but I found it a bit difficult to incorporate it into a scape, since it is quite large and very bright green. It didn’t look at all like I had envisioned it when I placed it in the scape that I had bought it for and it didn’t quite fit into any of my other scapes, so I just ended up leaving it a shrimp tank.
